DAY 10, 21 Sept 14: KOH SAMUI
Today is my rest day. I woke up late
and just lazed at my room, waiting for my biker friend, Nurul Teh come to fetch
me at 1pm.
The beach near my GH |
I had met Nurul only one time previously. Nurul resided in Koh Samui
since few months back after she resigned from her job at an oil and gas company. She practiced yoga and had some students of her own. She
came with a scooter and asked me to be her pillion. I seldom being a pillion,
and being one, I felt very awkward that I screamed few times. Gayat wehh...LOL that was hillarious. Nurul brought me to a Muslim
restaurant for lunch. We had rice with seafood tomyam, steamed fish, fried
veges, and ohhh cucumber with sambal belacan. How I had missed that. We chatted
for hours and this lady really surprised me with her life story. What an
incredible and strong woman she was. I really admired her spirit and
determination.
After that, Nurul brought me round the island and later to her nice
and cozy house. Finally, after spending 5 hours together, she sent me back to
my GH. Thank you very much Nurul for a wonderful time and for sharing with me
your amazing life story. Do let me borrow your spirit to apply in my own life.
DAY 11 & 12, 22 – 23 Sept 14: KOH
SAMUI – NAKHON SITHAMMARAT – DANNOK – SUNGAI PETANI
I checked out around 10am and made my
way to the pier. Theres not many vehicles and after purchasing the ticket
(B250), I rode into the ferry. Arriving Don Sak, I rode via route 401 to Nakhon
Sithammarat where I stopped for fuel and a light snack. After that, it was all
the way via route 41 – 4 without stopping at all until I reached Dannok, where
I stopped for the famous grilled meat.
B70 per plate...I had two plates :) |
Upon entering Malaysia, I met my FB fan who
had been waiting for me and we chatted for about 1 hour. Then I proceeded to my
friend’s house at Sungai Petani. It was already dark and I still havent fix my
head light. I had to ride slowly. Thank god I managed to find her house.
The next morning, I rode to Honda HQ
at Batu Kawan to have the technician checked the head light problem. It was
only the fuse. What a relief. Then I rode straight to Ipoh, my home sweet
home...
Kak Anita.
